Parlay
What is a Parlay?
A parlay is a strategy that combines multiple predictions into a single rolling position, allowing the odds to compound. Each successful prediction increases the total potential return.
If all selections are correct, the combined odds can produce significantly higher returns. However, if any single selection fails, the entire parlay position is lost, including the original stake and any accumulated gains.
On WinNova, parlays are implemented through a rolling position mechanism based on Polymarket market data. The system automatically executes the user’s parlay intent by reinvesting the stake and winnings from a winning prediction into the next selected market, effectively compounding the position across multiple events.
Rules of Parlay
Parlay Win/Loss Rules
All selections in a parlay must be predicted correctly for the parlay to be successful. If any single event loses, the entire parlay bet will be settled as a loss, and the full stake will be forfeited.
Example:
3-Leg Parlay (A Win + B Win + C Win)
Match results
Parlay Results
A wins B wins C wins
Parlay Win
A wins B wins C loses
Parlay Lost
A wins B loses C wins
Parlay Lost
Parlay Betting Method
Parlays Use a Rolling Position Mechanism:
First event wins
The system automatically rolls the principal + profit into the next event.
The position continues to roll into subsequent events in sequence.
Example:
Initial bet: 100 USDC
Level
Odds
Amount
The first game
4
100 → 400
The second game
5
400 → 2000
Final return: 2000 USDC
Parlay Odds Calculation
Estimated Parlay Odds = Product of the Odds for Each Event
Example:
Match
Odds
A wins
4
B wins
5
Parlay Odds: 4 × 5 = 20
If the stake is 100, the estimated return would be: 100 × 20 = 2000
Note: Because parlays on WinNova use a rolling position mechanism, the system cannot lock in the final odds at the time the parlay is placed. Therefore, the final odds may vary slightly, depending on the market odds at the time each event is executed.
Parlay Limitations
Since Polymarket’s underlying infrastructure does not natively support parlays, WinNova provides parlay functionality through a compositional mechanism. As a result, there are some limitations:
① Multiple markets from the same match cannot be combined in a parlay.
② There must be at least a 2-hour gap between the start times of two matches included in a parlay.
